21,019 Eli Jimenez Eccoman1@aol.com Long Island  NY   I purchased my 1800 last summer (1997).  It's been repainted a fjord blue ( Not ford ) from it's original last summer (1997).  It's been repainted a fjord blue ( Not ford ) from it's original white and the engine has aprrox. 60000 since being rebuilt.  In spite of some extensive rust in the undercarriage Which I Will be remedying this Winter she still quite a "looker".  The interior has new Konig seats With a Walnut throat  progressive Weber and the ignition is now Mallory.  But her heart is still pure P1800.                                     01-26-2001 09:31 AM

1967 21,116 jim fleming jfleming@netbeam.net colorado   I bought my 67 in 1974 with 50k on the car. Originally black with a red interior, it came to me with cheap white overcoat which I subsequently stripped and repainted black. In the 27 years with Sven I have provided 4 engine changes and have covered 300k plus miles. I regard the classic style of the 1800 as an artistic achievment which will appeal forever to the senses. Indeed, the simple durability and clean lines find me regarding the car as one to own for a lifetime. 05-17-2001 12:12 PM

1967 21,289 Ola Ivar Moen   Raufoss,Norway   The color of my car is red(46).
Black leader interior,with red carpets.
I have 167.000km. on the meter.
The car is nicely restored, and in very good shape.
I bought it in 1996,from a Volvo engineer in Gothenburg.
The car was originally sold in the Gothenburg region, and driven there, before I took it to Norway.
The last owner before myself had done a great job on the car,and I could concentrate on technical finetuning instead.
We use it frequently every summer, and have a lot of fun driving it,and taking it to different car events.

22,761 Markus Enzi enzi@apl.at Vienna  Austria   I bought mine in 1996 in rather good original condition. It is pearl white with black interior. It was an Austrian car with its second owner white with black interior. It was an Austrian car with its second owner for nearly 15 years. Step by step I renovated everything. First the engine with broken piston rings and therefore worn bores. I bored it out to 2 litres; with  B 20 head; compression ratio 8.7 : 1 for smooth overdrive (syncro; bearings etc.). I replaced some links and bushes of the front axle and went back to original wheels for lighter steering. New discs for the front brakes; new linings and break cylinders (1") back. Repair of clutch cylinders (main and down). I had to weld four small holes in the bottom. The rest was rust free. Inside its in perfect original condition. I only replaced leather of front seats. All instruments are working perfectly. I replaced the clockwork by the newer type from VDO; which is used in E and ES types. Look is original. Last autumn I fitted a Becker Europe radio which looks every day . It’s very reliable und a pleasure to drive. Especially with small tyres; large and heavy original steering wheel and the low small tyres; large and heavy original steering wheel and the low compression engine.                          01-26-2001 09:31 AM

22,830 Wayne Aho waynea@cswnet.com Clarksville  AR   It's been sitting in the Woods for the last 5 years.  It had very little rust and Was pretty much intact.  The engine Was recently recently started after lots of Marvel Mystery Oil WD-40 and some starting fluid.  Compression is excellent.  Looks like it Was repainted green With a broom (originally light blue). The title Was missing so I had to get a "bonded title" Which Was an experience.  I have had the car running, but found a 68 with most all the body work done, and a weber conversion, so the 67 will become a donor car to the 68.                                01-28-2001 06:38 AM

1967 24,388 Ryan Grigsby smosit@aol.com Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA   this car has been a constantly evolving project for the last ten+ years.  my grandfather bought the car from the original owner in the mid eighties.  a few years later the engine threw a rod.  at the time, he had emphazima, so he asked me to re-build the new motor for him as he supervised.  after dropping the new motor in, he let me drive the car as my daily driver for a few years.  eventually he had the interior re-done in grey vinyl and the exterior painted green (not stock).  in 1997 he gave the car to me because i had helped so much to maintain it and because i still had interest in it.  since then, i have replaced many parts on it in an attempt to complete its restoration.  i replaced the carpet, the headliner, all the suspension bushings and ball joints and shocks, all the rubber trim, and have repaired/replaced most of the mechanical parts.  this car is like new, and it is also my daily driver.  it gets between 25 and 30 mpg regularly. 01-31-2001 08:25 PM

Runs marvelous; needs paint; Car was last painted after I bought car (a 2007-8 project finally coming up to the plate).  SU's professionally rebuilt and motor rebuilt in 2006.  Line bored and bored .30 over, new cam, all else renewed, new exhaust.  Car drives extremely well. A/C needs a recharge- doing in late March. Was converted last year to newer coolant, but discharged when I rebuilt the motor. Seats need repair and I acquired a set from a 1970 (debating on putting in a 1967 but much sturdier).  Newer dash will be installed and car repainted hopefully in 2007-8.  Carpet faded but original.  Interior very decent;  rear luggage straps broken.  Original VOLVO TIRE CHAINS came with car- in original Volvo bags; and I have original volvo factory manuals for all of the cars systems.  Car has been good to me and can't bear to give it up.  Eventually my daughter will probably get it.   Happy Motoring!                        02-25-2007 08:42 PM

Seats are volvo O.E. rebuilding back shelf for bigger speakers, but same shape. Coming out to California summer 2001. Going to get a new paint job, when I'm done with her. rechroming a bunch of things, like the bumpers and the valve cover. have to lift the doors (they sag a bit), and possibly replace teh brake lines. Finally, going to add some insulation underneth the carpets. Nice car, 36,000 + 100000x where x is an integer. She'll be a 'bute when I finish. 02-04-2001 01:58 AM

24,733 Anthony Lisa jlisa@techplus.com Brandon  Manitoba  Canada   To my dismay; after looking at your list of years and ser numbers I have just learned that the 68 p1800s that I bought last Aug.. is really a 67!! No.24733. I guess its no big deal; but Id rather own a 68. Anyways i love your page and would like to give you some info for your list. The car has a rebuilt 1.8 w/2 SU's the wagner 4 spd w/od that works great using 80/90 oil in it. It is silver w/ blk leather; showing 121;103 miles on it. It has rocker and fender rust as well as some frame and floorpan that has all been homedone temporarily until i can afford a good bodyman.Im doing some drivetrain and engine work myself at the shop i work at; but it gets a bit pricey. Im 19 years old and i love my car. I am going to sell it though;next spring while i am down in Virginia at school because i can get alot more money for it there then come home w/1.4% more because the Canadian dollar is so low.  DON'T WORRY; Im only selling it to buy another one. So if you know of any 1800's in Canada 68-71 round the 8-9000$ CDN. mark.                                            01-26-2001 09:31 AM

24,826 Robert Settergren bobsett@earthlink.net Grand Rapids  MI   I got it a few years ago; and have done a number of things to it.  The body was in pretty rough shape; and I did all the body work short of body was in pretty rough shape; and I did all the body work short of final coat of paint.  Original color was blah Volvo red.  I painted it with an Oldsmobile color that is reddish maroon with clear coat top coat.  It gets lots of compliments.  The electrical system needed quite light switch isn't working; the light works when I manually complete the circuit.  Interior has been fixed up so is now more than presentable; but not of concourse standards.  Some time back a B 20B engine was installed; and I have put in new electronic  breakerless ignition.  Have put in new high output coil. Have modified the brake system to upgrade to the better vacuum booster pump.  Brakes work perfectly now.  Recently replaced the rear end with a better used one so that now there is no growling and howling when drive is in workable condition.  Drive the car most of the time with tranny in OD and don't even use the switch.   Motor Wheel Company  of tranny in OD and don't even use the switch.   Motor Wheel Company  of Lansing MI is the source of the Spider Mag wheels.  The local sports enthusiasts around here pay more attention to the wheels than   anything else.                        01-26-2001 09:31 AM
1967 24,878 Bob Yapp yapperman@msn.com Davenport, Iowa   Description:
Original color was #91 light green. Bought in June 1997 from Lief Johnson in Huntsville, Alabama. Car was completely rust free and running. I completed the total restoration of my 67 in July, 2000. Since I'm a furniture designer/maker and old house restorer and a terrible mechanic, I have never had a minute to work on it myself I ended up spending over $30,000 to get it just right. I know this is a lot of dough but It was worth every penny. I saw the car on the Saint when I was 5 years old and I've searched for the right one ever since. It is now better than it was off the factory floor. I dropped a Volvo, factory rebuilt B20 into it, all new engine components, new exhaust, rebuilt transmission & overdrive, rewired, complete IPD suspension, new rubber at every point up an under, bead blasted body (not one speck of rust), all new chrome & stainless, Panasport alloy wheels. I did change the color from baby puke green to midnight blue. It looks fantastic and handles like a real sports car. The last thing I replaced was the water trashed Weber carburetor. Although the interior was decent it needs some work and I am actually doing this myself.

I love the car, it's my mid life crisis and I probably won't get laid for a year as my wife is pissed I spent so much, oh well.

1967 24,920 Chris Hemphill cphrep@pacbell.net San Ramon, California   2nd owner, 70,000 miles as of Nov. 2001  Red - Was in storage for 12 years. Car was purchased in Europe, back to the states spent time in LA, Texas and came home to the mild Northern Cal weather. Front end accident in 1968 and repainted front to back.  Paint is in great shape given its age.  Car is rust free and orginal.  Runs strong and is used as a back up car for sales work when my 760 wagon is in the shop. It has the dual master cylinder brake system. The orginal owner visited the car this summer and took her for a spin around the block.  Would like to buy it back if I sell it.  Would you like to have the car you bought when you young and traveling the world?  What was it like to drive this red car out of the factory in 1967? hmm..... 10-29-2001 09:30 PM

1967 25,113 Franz Dages FranzDages@hotmail.com Shoals, IN   I bought the car slightly less than a year ago (May 2000).  I saw it setting at a classic car lot in Illinois as I drove by.  I went back the next day and bought it. The lot had it listed as a Volvo P18, and they had no idea what it was.  They said it had been driven up there from Florida.  On driving it back to Indiana, I realized that I had no brake or turn signal lights.  Set at an auto mechanic who (supposedly) specialized in foreign cars for about 3 months.  He did absolutely nothing to it.  Since Sept. of 2000, I've had it home and slowly working on it as time permits.  Just got it where I am confident enough to drive it about a month ago (Feb. 2001). 03-27-2001 09:04 PM

When you bring additional fields into a conversion, Quickbase often finds inconsistencies. For example, say you're converting your Companies column into its own table. One company, Acme Corporation, has offices in New York, Dallas and Portland. So, when you add the City column to the conversion, Quickbase finds three different locations for Acme. A single value in the column you're converting can only match one value in any additional field. Quickbase needs you to clean up the extra cities before it can create your new table. To do so, you have one of two choices:
